Malcolm has spent the last decade successfully coaching hair and beauty salons throughout Australasia in sales growth and service delivery, time (priority) management and culture change. There are many situations that salon owners face on a daily basis, and Malcolm provides practical, easy to implement advice in all aspects of salon business ownership.
Elisia Webb – Cerise Enterprises
Very excited to introduce successful business owner and entrepreneur Elisia Webb as our first guest presenter for PowerUP this year.
Owner and Managing Director of Cerise Enterprises and Celebrity Lash, Elisia started her business journey in 2006, a time when eyelash extensions were unheard of in New Zealand.
Being a true Pioneer of the lash industry, Elisia also founded CelebrityLash and a year later began offering lash training and related products. With 13 years of experience specializing in the art of eyelash extensions, Elisia’s salon, Cerise Lash Boutique is now a team of 12 across two Auckland locations.
Cerise has continued to grow under the revolutionary Cerise Enterprise business model – a platform built upon the solid branding and systems of Cerise, offering Elisia’s students and other fellow lash artists a shortcut to success.

Global marketing award winner and successful business owner Eric Ng is our second guest presenter for PowerUP for 2020.
Managing director of Sky Chaser Media Group & VideoShoot.co.nz, Eric has been publishing a Chinese lifestyle magazine in New Zealand and working with small business owners for 15 years.
Eric possesses an enthusiasm and passion for marketing, photography and videography.
In 2015, Eric was invited to be the Strategic Marketing Consultant at Cashback World NZ, which is a global marketing platform that helps SMEs to grow their business. In 2016, he achieved Merchant Marketer Top 25 Worldwide.
In 2018, VideoShoot.co.nz produced more than a hundred online videos for local businesses, which helps them to generate leads, increase customers’ engagement and sales.
Eric totally understands the use of videos to promote and market your product or service, increase engagement on your digital and social channels, educate your consumers and customers, and reach your audience with a new
medium. He will be enlightening us on the value of video in today’s marketing world with practical tips and ideas from his years of experience.

Corbin Child BA, LLB, Associate.
Corbin has appeared in the High Court, District Court and in many of New Zealand’s specialist Tribunals. He acts on a range of matters, often as sole counsel, including professional disciplinary complaints, employment disputes, construction defect claims, and actions against large institutions in the local government and education sectors for breach of statutory obligations. A significant part of Corbin’s practice involves assisting large clients with their commercial planning and decision-making so that disputes can be avoided. He regularly provides advice on employment practices, health and safety compliance, statutory obligations, and corporate planning.
Kent Perry, BA, LLB, Senior Associate
Kent began his career working in a boutique insurance litigation practice in Auckland where he acted for insurers defending professional liability claims brought against solicitors, real estate agents, valuers, engineers and architects. He was also responsible for a large portfolio of carrier liability and cargo recovery claims and assisted the partners with health and safety claims and other statutory liability claims. He regularly appeared in the District Court on behalf of New Zealand and Australia’s largest debt collection agency.
Shyrelle Mitchell, LLB, LLM First Class Honours, Partner
After a successful career in the medical sector Shyrelle entered the legal profession in 2006 when she graduated from the University of Auckland with an LLB. Soon afterwards in 2006 she completed her Master of Laws degree with First Class Honours in the Laws of Torts/Employment and Local Government Law.
Since 2006 Shyrelle has worked with the team at Heaney & Partners and has developed a successful professional liability insurance practice. Initially her practice focused on construction liability claims for local government. Today she still retains an active interest in and commitment to her local government clients and continues to manage the conduct of a number of large scale claims for those clients.
Corbin and the team will be presenting on issues that arise for businesses using social media, including ownership rights to content on social media; Employer and employee obligations when using social media; obligations that arise for
contractors using social media; and how to prevent disputes or resolve disputes if they do arise.
This will be an interactive presentation where delegates are encouraged to bring
along their curliest questions for discussion and answers.
